CASE STUDY 1
Wolfson College, University of Cambridge: Overhaul of mains intake
In the summer of 2018, the team carried out a complete refurbishment of a student residence at Wolfson college. Part of the project included a complete overhaul of the electricity mains intake room in order to modernize, make safer, and comply with the latest regulations.
CASE STUDY 2
Wood Oaks Farm, Maple Cross, Herts: Making safe a working environment
This is a good example of a mains/distribution upgrade. The old system which supplied power to various barns throughout the farm, comprised of overhead lines which were extremely old and in poor condition and therefore were dangerous. LPT removed all these power lines and installed new cabling underground to deliver a much safer work environment.
In addition, LPT carried out a comprehensive overhaul of the distribution unit to ensure the system complied with the latest regulations making the total installation 100% safe and reliable.

CASE STUDY 3
Horatio’s Garden, Aylesbury: Solution, design and build
This was an unusual and unique project in Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury.
The LPT team were brought in to replace the previous supplier as the project was not progressing to the satisfaction of the client.
This project was a great example where the LPT team approached the task with a solutions-based mind-set and design flair. This project was particularly demanding as the structure comprised of timber, steel and glass, and the team faced a number of challenges in terms of the design and installation of the electrical element of the project.
Furthermore, all of the perimeter walls consisted of bookshelves and cabinets. The solution involved installing LED lighting around the edge, and for the ceiling as half of the roof comprised of glass, a steel conduit system was installed to complement the internal features without compromising the beautiful appearance of the timber steel and glass.

CASE STUDY 4
59 St Aldates - Oxford
LPT completed a full refurbishment of a large office space in Oxford, comprising of exposed containment, and suspended LED lighting.
The aim was to provide an open and spacious feel and this ‘exposed’ look is currently very popular with many clients, as opposed to services being hidden within a ceiling.
The following pictures show how the project evolved.

Installation of PV solar panels
LPT has completed many solar panel installations, and this is an example in South London, where the team had to design, and install, a solar panel pv array on a flat roof. The challenge was that the roof did not have any structural points to drill into so the onsite team had to use an aluminium frame, fully secured with ‘fit for purpose’ heavy duty bricks.
